"What happened?" Panicked, Amber asked in your voice. "Why am I in Matt's body?"
"That's a good question." Shaking, you asked.
"It's because you asked for it... Amber." Giggling, a voice replied.
You and Amber looked up to see your mothers walking up to you with a smile on their faces. "What on Earth are you talking about, Ms Sullivan?" Confused and shaken, you asked.
"That's mom to you, young lady." Lightly scolding, Ms Sullivan corrected. "At least for the next six months, anyway."
"Six months?" Startled, Amber asked. "What did you do to us?"
"Well, you wanted to be older and have more responsibilities." Smiling, Ms Sullivan said.
"You wanted to be younger and have less responsibilities." Smiling at you, mom added. "So, we decided to grant both your wishes by swapping your bodies with a special device we borrowed from a friend of ours who dabbles in high tech gadgets."
Amber began to cry and you saw mom help him to his feet. "It's not forever; we're not that mean." Comforting him, she said. "You two will switch back, regardless of where you are, in exactly six months time and we will all have a long talk."
"For now, we had better get you home... Amber." Grinning, Ms Sullivan said.
