Seeing that her trick on your mother didn't work, Ashley gives up and decides to return you to your normal size, however she is greeted by the realization, that what she did, seems to be irreversible.
"Big brother... its... it's not working..." she says in a panicked voice with slight tears in her eyes. Your tiny eyes eiden in shock. You cannot believe this is happening to you. You first instinct is to scold your Ashley on not making sure it was all safe before attempting to shrink you, but seeing her tears stops you from doing so, feeling it would only do more harm than good.
You take a deep breath, and try to console your little sister.
"Hey... hey... it's ok shhh... calm down... it's ok... I'm sure there is a solution... this isn't entirely your fault... it's also mine, I'm the oldest here, so don't cry, and let's tell mom the truth"
Ashley hesitates, but nods.
Moving apologetically towards her mother she presents you to her.
"Mommy... I... I'm sorry... I... Shrunk my big brother... So we could play a prank on you... Pretending he was a bug... But it went awful, and now... And now I don't know how to fix it!" She said crying, after all she was nine, and couldn't have known such a harmless prank would end up like this.
Your mother's eyes widened, she was in shock, but regained her compostire quite easily. She crouched on the floor getting closer to you, as you stood in your little sister's hand. Your mother's giant face so close to you, you could feel her breathing washing over you, almost strong enough to push you away.
"Mom... Please don't blame Ashley, the responsibility of this lies with me!"
You said softly, trying to take accountability for your actions.
However your voice was so soft and tiny it sounded like a trembling whisper. But worse of all you couldn't tell what your mother's expression meant...
