The scream startles you but both your logic and emotional parts of your brain compel you to keep going, to drive that mysterious figure again and whatever it is doing near the tree. You couldn't immediately explain the origin of the scream, but you knew you lived alone so you knew it couldn't be a person. And also your intuition was telling you the greatest danger was that strange person ahead of you
You open the door, armed with your baseball bat, and notice the figure is still now walking away towards the opposite side of your front yard with slow, measured steps, still completely ignoring you and the threat you were supposed to carry.
"Wh..what are you doing, GET OUT!" you shout again but your body feels sluggish, the same intuition that told you to stop this figure at all costs seems to be now warning you of its danger, and this fills you with feverish dread. Slowly you find the courage and strength to approach, noticing how the figure knelt again and seemingly started another chant.
Finally getting a closer look at this figure you shudder, the rainy weather didn't allow you to watch any distinctive features over than a gray cloak that covered his entire body and a grey hat that covered his head, a person that clearly wished to remain anonymous. But now that you can see him closely you notice the figure is taller than expected, with a seemingly muscular build that made you second guess the idea of fighting with him.
You tried a dissuasive tactic using the bat to hit the fence in an attempt to get his attention, but once again, you were completely ignored. You didn't know which thing was getting on your nerves the most: the fact that your presence was being ignored completely by this stranger, the way you couldn't tell at all what on earth what he was doing or how some part of your mind kept telling you to find a way to drive him out without having to engage in any sort of physical fight.
Suddenly, the strange chant in a language you couldn't understand finally ended and you noticed another strange object near him, some kind of red crystal rectangle that was emitting a weak light from who knows where. The figure remained there and you now thought about what to do. Maybe you had no choice and had to start using the bat to attack the figure, maybe you could swing it against that strange crystal and see if you finally got a reaction? all you knew is you needed to do something, the more time passed the more you felt your life was on the line
