"Sire, the king of Grovan has sent a message that Princess Fia does agree to Prince Kelos marriage proposal then will instruct his armies to wipe out our kingdom."
"He did, did he?? We shall see about that!!"
King Arthras went back to Marlin and told him what the king of Grovan had said. Marlin stroked his beard and closed his eyes. When he opened them again there was almost evil glint in his eye as a smile curled on his lips.
"Sire, I have the solution to your dilemma. Provided you trust me completely. "
"You have been my most trusted advisor and most loyal friend for countless decades. Why should I doubt you??"
"You flatter me Your Highness. Now the first step is to write a decree declaring Fia as the new queen of Traeven."
"FIA?? Are you mad?? Fia has neither inclination nor mindset to rule the kingdom."
"I can assure Your Highness, my mind is quite sound. I will personally tutor the princess - er, new queen in everything she needs to know about ruling."
"Ok. And what else?"
"I want the royal weaponssmith to construct a new broadsword. As long as you are tall, and weighing in excess of 150 lbs. As well as battle axes. At least 200 lbs."
"Ah, so you will be hiring giants to wage war on our behalf."
"Nay, Your Highness. It is YOU who will carrying these weapons."
King Arthras began laughing so hard, he started to cough.
"Thank you Marlin, my friend. I needed a good laugh right this moment."
Arthras looked at Marlin's stone grim expression and sobered quickly.
"And how do you intend for me to accomplish such a feat Marlin?? Will you be placing enchantments on these weapons so that I might lift them?"
"No Your Highness. I will do this by brewing a magical elixir that will restore your body to its physical prime and imbue you with strength 50 times that of a normal man. Or even an immensely powerful man."
