Chapter #7

Try to tear off the girl skin.

    by: Unknown
You claw with your blood-red but typist-length girl fingernails at where the slit in the girl skin had ended -- and squeal girlishly with the pain before you quickly give up. You look in the mirror: no welts under the pale makeup on your newly delicate neck, not yet, but you're sure there will be. But there's no sign of that slit that allowed you to get into the fake girl skin...

Okay, the impossible has happened. That girl skin is now your real, live skin and what was your body is now the body inside that skin. Physically you're now an adorably pretty young woman, surely no older than twenty, who's dyed her light brown hair (except at her crotch) black, painted her nails blood-red and her lips to match, applied pale makeup to her face and neck, darkened her eyelids and the area around her eyes for a bit of a skull look. Probably she's been wearing industrial-strength sunscreen to keep her slender arms and slightly short but shapely legs pale. Your guy clothes are way, way too big for who you've become: you're tiny even for a girl your age, maybe five feet tall. Cute little freckles show through your makeup on and near your little snub nose, undercutting the whole Goth look and making you look approachable, even cuddlesome. Why can't the scrumptious, tiny girl in the mirror be your girlfriend, with or without the Goth shtick? Why does she have to be you? It's not fair!

You sigh like an exasperated girl -- it, and the expression on your pretty face when you do it, would be cute and sexy if they weren't your sigh and your expression -- and start to get dressed in the clothes that make up the rest of the Goth Girl costume. You don't want to be naked and your old clothes really are out of the question unless you wear your guy shirt as a sort of crude short dress -- forget that. You put the costume clothes on as if you've always been a girl: black bra, black panties, black sleeveless blouse that bares your trim and pale midriff, black knee-length stockings, short black pleather skirt, spike-heeled black shoes... you decide to go all the way and add the jewelry that's part of the costume: spider-shaped earrings, a necklace with a heavily tarnished silver locket you don't bother to look inside, a black snake-eating-its-own-tail bangle for each wrist. You look at the result in the mirror. You're adorable, too cute to be scary, Goth enough to be oddly sexy -- though you suspect you'd clean up well into an ordinary pretty girl.

Now you're -- the girl in the mirror is you, no denying it -- ready to leave the dressing room. Surely there's someone in the shop who can explain your metamorphosis. You go through the pockets of your guy clothes to get your wallet and keys before you leave.

You have the following choices:

1. You get them.

2. They've vanished!
