Pulling in to the car park, Piper got out of the car. She ran a hand over her buttocks, smoothing the dress. She sighed at the tight feel of her clothes. She knew she was not gaining weight, but she worried anyway. If she were to outgrow her wardrobe, how long would it take before Leo dumped her? She was all too aware of how easily she gained weight. She’d had to watch what she ate with great care, ever since she gained ten pounds over the summer when she was nineteen, and when she got back to see her boyfriend, Hugh, for the first time in a month, he’d taken one look at her and dumped her on the spot.
Leo orbed into the bathroom and joined Piper at her table. She was absently fondling the breadsticks. Why wouldn’t she just eat one already? How he longed for her to eat more. He tried to gather his courage to mention it, as he quietly approached the table. He pictured her stuffing her face, filling her face with food. Imagining her with chubby cheeks, he leant over and kissed them.
“Leo!” Piper exclaimed in surprise, shocked out of her daydreaming.
“Piper, I’ve got something to tell you.” He crossed his fingers. It was now or never.
“Sounds ominous.” Replied Piper.
“Oh, not at all,” He replied with a smile. At least, compared with the threat of a demon attack, a little thing like getting chubby won’t seem quite so bad. “I just…”
Piper looked up at him with her deep, loving eyes. He faltered, but it was too late to back down now.
