An enormous light green bear wearing dog tags and a green beret answered the door.
He looked down at you curiously.
In the far distance, you heard a low thunder rumble and it began to rain.
"Well...we better get you inside, little person." said the bear.
Quickly, he cupped you gently in his paws and brought you into his castle.
After being outside in the cold, it was very comforting to be inside the warm castle,
especially inside the bear's warm paws.
You wondered if you should be more worried though.
Was this bear friend or foe?
He opened his paws and set you down gently on a sofa.
When he sat down beside you, it knocked you off balance and you tumbled head over heels
right into his thigh.
You looked up frightened, but he only looked down at you gently.
"There there, little guy. I won't hurt you. My name is Flippy. You're lucky I found you out there
before it started to rain. That could have ended badly for you."
"Wow...thanks Flippy." You beamed up at him. He does seem to be pretty nice after all.
Flippy got to his feet and started for a distant doorway that you could only guess led to the kitchen.
"Would you like something to eat friend? I could ma..."
Suddenly, a loud thunder crack shook the castle.
The power went out and everything went dark.
You couldn't see Flippy now. It was pitch black.
But you could hear him though. He was muttering crazily to himself.
"N..no...not again...I...I can't..war...soldiers...my...friends...death...KILL!!! ARRRRGE!"
He screamed so loud that it hurt your ears.
You could have sworn that you just heard a knife being unshethed in the dark.
"Heh heh heheheheHAhaAHAhaha...must...kill...must...kill..."
You heard Flippy walking slowly toward you.
His footsteps sounded odd, like he was limping.
