This choice: Dad comes in to check what's going on • Go Back...Chapter #7Dad comes in to check what's going on by: jazza   “Alright then, let’s go back to your room and get the Medallion to turn me back into you” you said and you both walked back into Brad’s room as quietly as possible. You bent over to grab the Medallion and were about to pick up one of Brad’s shirts to turn back into him when you saw your Dad, bleary eyed standing in the door way, wearing just his pajama pants.
‘What the hell is going on in here?” Dad asked shocked to see both his son and a copy of himself standing naked in his youngest son’s room.
Raw panic filled your mind as you threw the Medallion at your father and then one of Brad’s shirts, the autonomy of your movement’s surprising you. Your dad caught the shirt and Medallion by reflex and immediately began to shrink. His limbs lost their muscle and the hairs on his body began to disappear as the hair on his head grew longer and became blonde. His pants fell to his now shrinking feet as his waist grew too small to hold them up and his face morphed into Brad’s, his features shrinking. The change stopped and before us stood a bewildered and naked Brad. “What the hell?” he asked slowly, before gasping at having Brad’s voice emerge from his mouth.
“Dad, don’t freak out. That’s Brad looking like Andrew and I’m Andrew with your body. That Medallion actually works and can turn you into other people if you hold their clothes. Brad and I were experimenting with it, which is why we look like this. I didn’t know what to do when you saw us and it was just a random instinct to throw you the Medallion. I’m really sorry but if you like we can turn you back to normal and forget this ever happened” you said soothingly.
This was such a weird sight; your Dad, you and Brad all in each other’s bodies and naked. You didn’t know how your father would react, but you knew that he was a bit vain and wanted to be young again, although you didn’t think he wanted to be THIS young.
Your Dad stood still for about a minute, trying to process everything that you just said. No one said a word. “Ok then, well for now I think we need to put some clothes on” Dad said shakily as he put on Brad’s pajamas. You grabbed your Dad’s pajama pants and slid them on as Brad put on your underwear. “Well that’s a start. So this thing can turn people into other people if you hold onto an item of their clothing right?” he asked while eying the Medallion curiously.
You nodded, wondering where your Dad was going with this. Dad continued, “Right then. Well if we are all in each other’s bodies already, we might as well stay like this for a little while. I haven’t been 7 in decades and I’m curious to see what it’s like. I’ll hold onto the Medallion and we will stay in each other’s bodies for the night and then we will turn back tomorrow night. Now everyone, go to their new rooms and get some sleep” you Dad said, trying to sound mature and in charge, while in a 7 year olds body.
You and your brother hurriedly vacated the room and went to your new rooms. Creeping into your parent’s room, you saw your Mum, now wife, sleeping in the bed. You crept slowly to the bed and hopped in. Your Mum stirred and whispered “What’s wrong?”
“Um nothing sweetie, I was just getting some water. Go back to sleep” you said. You thought about what had just happened and couldn’t believe that you were going to be your Dad for a whole day. You were thinking about the possibilities as you laid wake.
