This choice: Recovery: Naruto vs. Yoruichi, Round One--FIGHT! • Go Back... Pulling out his blade Naruto pointed it at Yoruichi, forming a battle stance. Likewise Yoruichi did the same, it was almost funny, debateably the strongest woman in the Soul Society was about to get into a fight with for all intents and purposes a bug.
Not wanting to kill the arrancar, or end the fight for that matter Yoruichi took it simple, she merely swung her bare foot forward to the arrancar. Her foot moved fast but not as fast as one would expect from 'The Flash Goddess' so Naruto had no problems handling it.
With a Sonido the arrancar vanished, reappearing on the top of Yoruichi's foot with his blade raised and pointed at it. The girl found her lips forming into a smile, "Yes!" she thought happily.
Screaming some sort of a battle cry Naruto swung his sword down against Yoruichi's foot, both he and her expected a cut to form, some sort of a wound but the worst case scenario occured. Yoruichi, when taking in her size compared to Naruto's her spiritual pressure was so great that the blade couldn't cut her, similar to how Kenpachi Zaraki fights. The blade merely scraped against the massive dark tan foot forming sparks.
Feeling a hint of pain Naruto looked at his hand as it clenched the sword, it was dripping blood. The power difference between his and Yoruichi with their sizes in the mix was so great when it collided no matter what he was the one injured.
Biting her lip nervously Yoruichi quickly reassesed the situation. She forgot about how the size of Naruto would effect his attacks on a spiritual level, as if he wasn't down enough! Yoruichi took a quick look at Naruto, sure enough he wasn't in a battle position anymore, he was just.....there...standing on top of Yoruichi's foot staring at the spot he futilely struck.
"I can't win......." The arrancar muttered, naught but a whisper but a whisper Yoruichi heard nonetheless.
"That's a load of crap! You just give it your all in each swing! Try one more time, I'll let you!" Like her hopes Naruto's blade rose high into the air again, his small yet nonetheless powerful spiritual pressure engulfing him like an aura of light.
Focusing her own power Yoruichi did the opposite of Naruto, she lowered her power as much as she could. Swinging his blade down Yoruichi winced slightly, her foot instinctively jerking and in turn tossing the tiny arrancar off of it.
The two stared at the spot on Yoruichi's bare foot, although it was nothing more than a papercut Naruto had cut the girl's foot. Both found themselves smiling smiles of accomplishment, slowly but surely Naruto's spirits were rising.
"Don't get too cocky." Yoruichi muttered with a catlike smirk.
Again attacking via a slow kick Naruto again reappeared on top of her foot and dealt another blow and again Yoruichi would toss him off. The process repeated for a while, soon the top of both of Yoruichi's feet were covered in cuts, nothing big but it was progress.
Naruto on the other hand was slowly slowing down and Yoruichi noticed it. Being a good sport she attempted to slow down to match Naruto but as he prepared another strike, even if for the briefest of moments Yoruichi's competitive side took over and in less than a second Naruto was on the ground pinned beneath her big toe.
Frowning slightly Yoruichi was mentally hitting herself, losing would surely make Naruto worse than ever. Strangely a laughing sound came from beneath Yoruichi's toe, removing her toe Yoruichi saw the weirdest thing. Naruto was laughing, "I was so close!"
The cat girl found herself smiling too, "Don't forget what you gotta do if I win."
The arrancar gave her a thumbs up, "I'm still a foot pet, no prob!" Yoruichi sighed slightly, he was feeling better but Naruto still seemed to think of himself as a bug, still progress was progress.
Sitting down Yoruichi propped her feet up, "Get to worshipping."  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
