This choice: Silver's a patient thief, he can wait out the professor by the window! • Go Back...
Chapter #6
Just do it the traditional way!
by: Unknown
Crouching down and waiting, the slim boy and pudgy girl was talking with Elm in the lab. He couldn't fully hear their conversation, so he hunkered down and waited. Silver had some gum, and decided to chew on it for a bit, if only to calm his nerves. Chewing it through, he suddenly realized that he had a mirror and a pen; in other words, with those two and the gum, he could make a small perioscope. After he got all the flavor out of his mint gum, he took out the pen and tiny mirror, the kind that would look like a keychain. Sticking the gum to the back of the mirror, he stuck it to the pen horizontally. Silver now had a good degree of view, and he took a quick look up by using the mirror to reflect his line of sight. Nothing was different, except... Hm, the kid in the baseball cap and short got his hands on a Cydnaquil? The pig of a girl already had a Marill, and didn't pick anything of her own, but soon the two left. Ducking his hand down, he spotted the two chatting, and soon split up. "That was close..." he realized as the kid in the shorts looked over in his direction, but didn't see anything.
Using the mirror to look through the window again, the professor had walked away back into his office. "Now's my chance." he told himself, getting up.
Silver only needed his fingernails; the window was unlocked. Slipping in, he rolled in. Nobody was around. Crouching his way towards the Pokeballs that were still in the case, he quickly grabbed one of them and ducked through the window again. Nobody noticed him. Now the question was... what did he swipe?
