Chapter #7

One Last Farewell to Nee Bark

Within the next few hours, the two trainers to be ended up getting acquainted with their new Pokémon. While Crystal was able to get Totodile to accompany her, Lyra settled for just a Marill, and Ethan gravitated towards Cyndaquil, finding the Fire-type to be a comforting presence despite it’s inherent weakness to the other two.

Of course, Crystal and Lyra were given Pokedexes after they had received their Pokemon, but while Lyra listened to Elm’s subsequent speech about filling out the Dex and catching as many Pokémon as possible, Crystal mainly zoomed out. Having gotten her fill on burgers, she was in a sort of bliss, thinking only about what her next meal would be as she waited for Elm to finish.

“...And that’s why I am trusting this project to you. The three of you have shown great skill and care, and I believe you all have what it takes to fill out the Dex for a more understanding Johto. I wish you all good luck.”

Finally coming back into focus at the end, Crystal nodded to Elm, trying to pretend that she had focused while carrying Totodile on her shoulder, looking out. “Yeah, absolutely. Filling out the Dex and all that. Hey, you mind if I go home for a bit? I’m still a bit hungry, and I wanna say goodbye to mom before I venture out.”

“Of course, in fact I recommend-“

And with that, Crystal was gone, having waddled out of the building with a speed unexpected by that of a woman her size. Realizing a bit more the kind of woman Crystal was, Elm placed a palm onto his face, as he let out a small sigh.

“Was she really the right choice to give out a Starter to?”

“Don’t worry about it!” Lyra said, stepping behind Elm and giving him a pat on the back. “Sure she’s a bit... gluttonous, but I’m sure this journey will help her slim down by quite a bit! After all, all that walking is bound to burn something, right?”

“Let’s hope your right on that...”

“Aw, baby’s first Pokémon! I’m so excited that this day has finally come for you!”

A few hours later, Crystal was back at home, eating with her mother one last time before she would be ready to leave New Bark. Both mother and daughter wanted one last meal before the latter left, and they were eating Crystal’s favorite meal, a humongous platter of deep-fried Bouffolant Steaks, imported from Unova.

As the two ate, the duo managed to keep up with each other, grabbing and devouring steak after steak whole. Crystal’s mother, Jewel was no slouch in the eating department, weighing in at around 450 pounds and carrying most of it between her gargantuan gut and her plump breasts. And while her behind was a bit lacking, it still managed to fill in two chairs with enough struggle to where she was considering on upgrading to three like Crystal.

“So Crystal, are you gonna call often?” Jewel asked, continuing to stuff her mouth full of steak with little reprieve.

“Oh, absolutely! I can’t wait to show you all the new Pokémon I’m gonna catch, not to mention all of the I'm gonna eat, and all the trainers I’m gonna fight...”

“That’s great! And I can trust Lyra will keep you well fed while your out there on your journey, right? I don’t want my baby girl to starve, right?”

“Don’t worry mom...” Crystal admitted, letting out a small sigh as she stuffed her cheeks to the brim with fried steak, before swallowing it all in one go. “I’ll get food one way or another... Pokémon battling should earn me a good income for food if I really do need to eat.”

“Hmm... maybe I should prepare some rations for you before you go then? Something to last a few days, at least until you reach Violet City...”

“Relax!” Crystal stated, her belly shaking from raising her voice. “I’m 18. I can take care of myself if I need to. Food won’t be a issue, at least not a big one.”

“Okay, fine...” Jewel said, letting things go as she breathed in and out slowly. “If you really think you can take care of any food you may need, I won’t bother you. But at least stay for dinner now. I don’t want all this food to go to waste after all!”

“You don’t have to tell me that twice!” Crystal proclaimed, grabbing for another piece of steak. “This may be our last meal together for a while, but I’m gonna enjoy every second of it!”

After a while, the mother and daughter pair of Jewel and Crystal eventually finished the entire load of Bouffolant steaks, before finishing up their feast with two gargantuan Olivine pizzas, one for each. Jewel’s stomach was completely packed, and while Crystal still felt a twinge of hunger, her gut was similarly stuffed, with her bra even feeling a bit tighter just from the meal alone.

“I’m so going to miss your cooking, mom...”

“And I’m going to miss you too...” Jewel replied back, letting out a small burp as she rose from her chairs to grab the many plates on the table. “But I know that it’s about time for you to go on your own, to explore this big, wide world. I’m so proud of you, you know that?”

“Of course I do...” Crystal rose from her seat as well, and as she pushed her chairs back in, she let out a small smile to her mother. “When I come back after becoming Champion though, I want you to promise me one thing. I want a big feast, one that’ll last an entire 24 hours. Something that I can really enjoy coming home to, you know?”

“Of course.” Jewel answered, as she put the last of the dishes into the sink before waddling to her daughter to give her one last hug. “Oof, every day it seems like it gets harder and harder to get my arms around you...”

“Don’t worry Mom, I know your trying your best.”

After letting her meal digest a bit, Crystal packed up her stuff as she got ready to leave New Bark. In her backpack were dozens of Potions, Poke Balls, and Antidotes from her mother, as well as a Town Map and her phone. Heading off to the door, Crystal was ready to join Lyra and Ethan on their journey across Johto, and as she left, she turned to Jewel one last time, as the portly mother slowly settled down into the couch, ready to turn on the TV.

“I’ll see you soon Mom, and I’ll call you as soon as I get to Violet and get my first Badge!”

“Good luck, Crystal! And be sure to eat plenty of food!” Her mother yelled back, as Crystal closed the door and began her slow march out to Route 29.

“Of course I will!”

And with that, Crystal was ready. Patting her belly with a sense of pride, Crystal began her charge to meet up with Lyra and Ethan at the beginning of Route 29, a heavy smile on her face. She now had a new sense of vigor in her, and while she knew that she could just stay with her mother, she genuinely wanted to explore the world, with a goal of becoming Champion in her sights.

Well, actually it was two goals, as she felt her stomach growl once more. Become Champion, and eat as much food as she could from every town and city she was able to. After all, if she wasn’t gonna enjoy the delicacies of Johto, who was?
