Kylee blinked rapidly and noticed that she was back in class and Ms. Johnson was back to lecturing about derivatives. She noted that none of her classmates seemed to have noticed anything amiss and sighed with disappointment at what she believed could have been the answer to her problems.
"Sigh. I must have fallen asleep," the Asian girl thought as she rested her double chin on her hand.
Kylee's eyes widened comically when she realized that she wasn't supposed to have a double chin and looked down at herself.
All of the changes from when time stopped seemed to have become a reality! The girl couldn't help poking at herself and pinching a roll of fat through her now too tight shirt. Kylee wiggled her bigger bottom in her seat and relished in the cushioning softness that now protected her from the school's cheap plastic chairs.
"It's real! I can't believe it actually happened!" the girl thought ecstatically.
For the rest of the period, Kylee memorized as much of her new body as possible and enjoyed a sticky wetness that had become confined in her too tight jeans.
Just before the bell rang, the girl looked at her classmates and wondered if anyone would notice her change. Either way, it was time for lunch and for the first time in her life, the teen could honestly say that she was starving.
The young woman quickly spotted her friends and joined them in the lunchline.
However, as Kylee was just about to join in on some juicy gossip, she couldn't help but notice that she was getting more stares, and people were whispering around her. Even her friends were giving her strange looks.
"Alright! What's up with you guys?" the Asian girl asked, grabbing a couple of slices of pizza and a piece of cake.
Her friend Alexis turned to the other girls and then patted Kylee's belly, sending a soft ripple through the fat.
"You've kinda gained some weight. Don't you think you should diet or something?" Alexis asked.
Kylee gained a look of surprise and ran her hand through her long black hair.
"I didn't really think it was that big of a deal and dieting is such a hassle," the Asian girl said thoughtfully.
Alexis didn't look convinced and pressed on. "What about prom? Don't you want to look good to get some guy to ask you?"
Fake tears began to well in Kylee's eyes. "Do you really think I'm that fat and hideous?"
Alexis quickly backed off and gave Kaylee a big hug. "Oh I'm so sorry girl. I didn't mean it like that. You're beautiful. Don't worry."
Kylee gave Alexis a watery smile, but internally she began to wonder if the screen worked on other people when time froze again.
