Massan is a Holy Kingdome devoted to the service of the Goddess Charu whom they live upon and gain sustenance from. The castes are, according to the Betas (ancient scriptures), handeed down originally from the Goddess herself to establish order and defeat chaos.
Brahmins -- You are of the priestly class, one of the few allowed beyond the great forest.. You conduct the age old rites of veneration for the Goddess Charu, held at the holiest temple built just north of the woman's vagina. Even you, however, have never visited the holiest of holies to the south.
Kshatriyas --You are of the warrior class. Your job is to fend off the many external parasites that share Charu's body as well as protect the holy lands from barbarians who live across the tan wastes (in otherwords beyond her pubic region). Some warriors are dispatched to fight in far off lands of Charu to protect the distant trading interests of the holy land.
Vaishyas -- You are a craftsmen. Your raw materials are pubes, sloughed skin, lint; as well as exotic materials that comes from colonies across the wastes, an adhesive substance calle Do-Jam, a rubbery substance called Vroogers among other wonders. Somehow you manage to forge combinations of these into useful items, even simple machines.
Shudras --You are a member of the lower class, a resource collector. You currently work as a sawyer in the great forest, but you may be sent elsewhere if your liege commands. Your job is back breaking and the the work never ends. Add to this the danger of the Krabdrel, horrid giant crustaceanas that stalk through the thickest woods, and you have a life the envy of no one save...
Untouchables -- You are one of those cursed to work to the far south, driven there either by debt or enslavement. In a land that is said to be beyond the sight of Charu, at the center of a deep ravine, lies a swamp surrounded by a forest like the holy land to the north. However, there's nothing Holy about Yama. It is a place a torture where you'll spend the rest of your days picking gunda, a precious livestock feed, from the foul trenches in the swamp.
