Joe was beginning to grow more and more uneasy with every second Miss Blanc fiddled with the gun. All it would take is for her to hit one wrong button or pull the trigger for all hell to break loose.
Fortunately for him, the bitchy but hot principle put the gun down, dismissing it as just a simple toy. The annoyed woman sighed and went back to glaring at Joe. "Starting today you have two weeks of after school detention with me, Smith. You will show up and do whatever work I assign you. Am I understood?"
"C-Crystal." Joe managed to stutter out. This was going to suck. The last thing he wanted was after school detention with Miss Blanc but at least she wasn't calling his parents or pushing for a more extreme punishment for brining empty bottles of booze on school grounds. "Can I go now?"
The annoyed principal tossed his bag back to him with a little more force than was necessary. Joe chose not to comment on that since he was already in enough trouble as it was. He tried to reach for the gun next but Miss Blanc had snatched it back up before he could.
"You know the rules Smith, you can have your little toy back after your first day of detention has been served." She said in a way that brokered no argument. She opened her desk drawer and dropped the device inside before sliding it shut.
This caused Joe's fear to spike, he did not want Miss Blanc anywhere near the gun but if he commented on it he'd only bring more attention to it. He didn't like it but he would just have to trust Miss Blanc would be too busy to fiddle with it.
"Yes, ma'am." Joe muttered.
"You may leave now Smith, but just remember I have my eyes on you." The principle warned. Joe nodded in understanding before zipping up his bag and making his way towards the door. As he did, he turned back towards Miss Blanc to see her eyes still zeroed in on him. He shuttered and exited the office as quickly as he could.
All he had to do was make it through the day. He could do that, right?
