Kassandra wants to play Minesweeper

"OK. I'll meet you there at 1230. The lunch crowd should be thinning by then," is what the virus heard Kressi say. Fortunately, it had been able to establish a connection to her smart phone so Kressi didn't hear her friend say, "OK. Bye," and the line go dead. Instead it blocked that and used a voice synthesizer to imitate her friend's voice.

"Definitely. It's so much better and quieter," the virus pushed through the phone.

"I know. I can't stand to eat with all that noise," Kressi replied.

"Hey, have you played the new Minesweeper yet? You're such an expert on that," teased the virus in a perfect imitation.

"A new Minesweeper?" came Kressi's startled response as she quickly clicked it open.

Sure enough. There was a new Minesweeper. It had a more colorful look with shifting background and mesmerizing explosions as an opening simulation played. Of course, there wasn't really a new Minesweeper. It was the virus that had reprogrammed it adding a hidden layer of hypnotic instructions. It was just the thing to begin the takeover.
