Growth Solution

Jared stirs the soup in front of him. You watch him in awe, wondering what good you must have done to be given this reward.

You then see Jared pick up a spoon, dip it in the pot and sip it. He looks at you and says "Just testing it, needs a bit more time". With that, he walks over to the seat opposite from you and sits down. You both start talking and he tells you he joined the Gay Straight alliance to find other gay guys like himself. He asked you if that was why you joined. If he has asked you ten minutes ago, you would have probably said no, but now, seeing Jared in front of you and how nice he has been to you so far, you shook your head yes.

Suddenly, you realize something. When Jared sat down, you were looking at him at eye level. Now you had to look up a little bit.

How tall is Jared?
