Chapter #6Twice the size of Ash! by: Readasaur   Pikachu's body had started glowing when Ash started to speak the strange words in the book. He felt dizzy, like he was struck by Confusion, and his head was swimming. The electric rodent tried to keep his balance, down on all fours as rippling sensations reverberated through his body and the dizziness got worse. He wanted to say something and alert his friend to his plight, but he couldn't force any sound of his throat, and he began to get very worried. Pikachu sank all the way to the ground, feeling his body start to swell and grow. It wasn't painful, but it all felt so strange that it might as well have been agonizing. His arms, legs and tail grew larger, and his torso doubled in size, then doubled again to keep up with his limbs.
He groaned inaudibly as he stretched out on the ground, Ash completely oblivious as he continued to read. The book was glowing faintly, and Ash had a distant look in his eyes as he read the words; it seemed like the book was mesmerizing him into reading it. Pikachu's form shone more and more brightly as the changes reached their conclusion, and Pikachu felt his strength returning as he regained control of his body. In fact, he was feeling stronger than ever. No, stronger than that! His eyes blazed as power coursed through his form, electricity arced all over his furry body, until he finally released it as a blazing streak of lightning at the sky, parting the clouds and asserting his dominance over the very heavens.
The Thunder he'd shot up had broken the spell the book had held over Ash, who blinked and looked over at him, startled. "Wow, that was really weird, Pikachu... Pikachu?" He looked up, and gaped in disbelief. "Pikachu!" His Pokemon ignored him at first. Pikachu was examining his new body, holding his arms out in front of him, glancing behind him, looking down and then concentrating to summon that incredible energy again. He was twice Ash's height and mass, but the same perfect Pikachu shape as before. Except that his fur was crackling with static electricity, and though he couldn't see it, his eyes were glowing faintly.
Not just his body, but his power had grown tremendously!
He vaguely recalled that Team Rocket had started chasing them because they thought he'd blown up a Pokemon Center all by himself after a series of unlikely events. Of course it was just them jumping to idiot conclusions and then chasing him and Ash out of stubbornness, but now he really was the almighty powerhouse they had mistaken him for! He clenched his paws and squeezed his eyes shut, and let another blast of lightning strike the sky. Finally, he looked down at Ash.
His human swallowed with difficulty and reached up to touch his friend's very warm body. "P...Pikachu...?" He was too astonished to say anything else, unable to process what he was seeing. Pikachu, however, knew how to take advantage of a situation. He reached down and wrapped his newly enlarged paws around his Trainer's waist and hoisted him into the air. "Pikachu!" The newly huge Pokemon said with a smirk, loving how easily he could hold Ash at eye level. Wait... something felt different about his throat... He coughed a few times, and then tried something he could never have done before. "...Ash?" He managed to say. Then brightened. Not only was he big and powerful, he could speak! And his human looked to be on the edge of freaking out.
