Allen was getting closer, and if you didn’t move you were going be stepped on without him noticing. You were about to run to the left, and easy enough task, when suddenly you noticed Allen was walking toward something else. A small, bronze trophy was lying on the floor in front of him. It was a 3rd place fishing trophy you had won a few months back.
“Hey, look out!!” you shouted on impulse, but of course the giant Exorcist didn’t hear you. Instead his foot stepped on the bronze prize and knocked him off balance.
‘Woah!” Allen’s foot slipped off the trophy and into the air. The young Britain tried to regain his balance, but only managed to lean himself forward for his decent.. Seeing the floor quickly approaching, he shut his eyes and braced for impact. Strangely, he could have sworn he saw James flash in front of his eyes before he shut them.
You watched in terror as Allen’s entire body fell toward you. His chest was right above you and seemed to drop in slow motion. It was too late to do anything.
“Wait--”
*SLAAAAM*
Allen hit the floor of James’ room hard. He thought he heard something crunch under him, but dismissed it and only stood up while rubbing is forehead which hit the floor.
“Well, I know now he’s a slob…” muttered Allen under his breath. He took one last look around the room to acknowledge that James was not there. He then left quietly, completely unaware of the small splotch of blood on his Exorcist coat. Only a half hour later did someone point it out to him in the hall, but he only though he had fallen on a bug or some kind of leftovers. The coat was discarded into the laundry when Allen took his next shower, the blood washed off like any other stain. The only other evidence of your being, a small blood stain on the floor of your room, was mopped up soon afterwards when you were declared to have defected.
