You could go through a puppy-sized (puppy-sized for you, not Death the Kid) hole in between his legs and travel through his boxers past his dick, it would save you several hours of climbing AT LEAST. However, several things could go wrong...
If he shifts or wakes up while your in there, his junk would cover then seap through your way out then you would be trapped.
If you try to fit through the hole, but your bottom half can't, then you'll be stuck and when he wakes up, you'll get a face-full of his balls.
You also might not be strong enough to force the waistband open then you'll have wasted time.
Alternatively, you could spend several hours climbing, and no doubt slipping off his underwear, and go over...
