She looked disappointed but adamant
"Come on bro, I will give you some of my bake sale cookies if you win."
This was a very tempting offer, but your sister has never acted so desperate before. Something didn't smell right, and it wasn't just her feet.
"No."
She seemed nervous.
"It will be fun, if I win, you won't have to do anything, come on, please?"
"I already told you no."
You had enough and escorted her out, gently this time.
She left quickly and with purpose, and your odd encounter ended, but you felt off, obviously. She made a very unique request, she must have had something planned.
"It doesn't matter now." you think to yourself, and you go back to studying, and you forgot all about the encounter until you heard some unrecognizable sounds in your sister's room. Bored with what you were doing, you decided to investigate, it won't hurt.
You try as quietly as you can to open the door, then close it behind you, remembering all your stealth video game experience. Your sister's room is only three strides down, and you peek in. Unfortunately, the orientation of the room blocks your view, but you can hear what she is saying. At first, you think there is someone in there with her, but you soon realize there is only one audible voice: hers.
"She's gone crazy". You lean in closer to hear what she is saying.
"1-2-3, tied over me? no, no, no." You hear a paper crumple and being thrown.
"1-2-3, tide on the sea? that's just dumb." Again, a paper crunching. It sounds like she is innocently writing poetry, most likely for a school project, but you feel there is something more. As if you can feel power coming from each word. While you are trying to lean in, you brush against the door, and it opens slightly, making a creaking sound, eliminating your sister's voice. Not knowing what to do, you stand still as you hear here approaching the door to investigate. You must make a decision now.
