Chapter #9

Maybe It's Okay To Read the Job Description

    by: Unknown
"Hold on a second, you freak! What is this?!"

You gesture towards your new body, and Mr. Whiteman merely smirks, as he spreads his hands across his desk.

"You're not particularly bright, are you? What do you think a boss's assistant does?"

You are quite confused, and unwittingly bite your lip. Sensing your tension, Mr. Whiteman laughs more, and draws nearer to you, sliding his hand across the edge of the chrome plate nametag "Whiteman".

"Surely, you heard me say I asked for a woman, didn't you? Every good employer knows that only the gentle, delicate hands of a woman," as he grabs for your new ones, "can handle the various... tasks one might give out. And certainly, I don't want any confusion in you about this. You see, in this body..."

Mr. Whiteman grabs you, at seeing you try to escape, and mockingly scolds you, "You're a much more helpful and useful person. I only like seeing the cheery faces of women around my office... Now smile, darling. You wanted the job, didn't you?"

He laughs openly at you, and you shiver in fear. What kind of sick job had he signed up for? If only he'd taken the other flyer, for another job, anything but this nightmare!

You desperately use those new heels of yours, and manage a quick getaway while he's stunned. You can tell he's angry now, so you make a rush for the door. Out in the hallway, you can hear Whiteman yelling from his office, "Get her! Thief!!"

You dart onwards, but reach the end of the hallway. There is a staircase, with an "Under Construction" sign posted on it, and an air duct. You can't risk the elevator.

So, do you try the stairs which aren't entirely finished yet, or do you travel down the duct?

You have the following choices:

1. I'll take the stairs!

*Noteb*
2. So clique, but I'll have to go down the air duct!

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
