Elder Raichu had entrusted her with this task after all! She couldn't let him down!
Getting down on all fours, the young Pikachu sprinted down the trail, stopping just before the entrance to the small cavern.
Taking a closer look, she realized the cavern wasn't so small after all. Standing up on two legs again, the young Pikachu cautiously walked in.
The cave wasn't dark, thankfully. The strange green glow did a good job of keeping the cavern well lit. Even so, the young Pikachu felt very uneasy.
Maybe this wasn't such great idea...
Eventually, after walking for what felt like an eternity, the young Pikachu found what she had been looking for.
The end of the cavern opened up into a huge chamber. Humans were clearly here at one point, as there were dozens of ruined pillars and statues holding up the place.
Curiously, the statues were of smaller Pokémon, like Furret, Fennekin, Riolu, and even a Pikachu. What intrigued the young Pikachu the most however, was that all of the statues were HUGE.
A flashing green glow suddenly reminded this Pikachu of what she came for. Turning around, she finally saw the source of the green light. At the center of the chamber, resting on a marble podium, was a beautiful emerald orb.
Hopping onto the small podium, the female Pikachu carefully picked up the glowing orb, marveling at how pretty it looked.
Suddenly, the emerald orb buried itself in her chest, causing the Pikachu to squeal in surprise.
As a strange unpleasant feeling overcame her, the disoriented young Pikachu failed to notice the world around her getting smaller and smaller...
