Tiny intruder

The two women were about to leave when they saw movement on their table. "Oh gosh! A tiny in here?!" Ryan closed her book and lifted it to smash the pest out of existence, but Amy caught the book and held Ryan back.
"Hey! What did he ever do to you?!"
"Amy! If it were a spider you'd be just the same way! Pests don't belong in the library!"
"Then at least take him-"
"What is the meaning of this!" A voice yelled out from behind Amy. Thinking fast, she swept her hand across the table and knocked the tiny man into her open backpack before the librarian walked over to them. "This is a library! If you make one more noise, you are both out of here!"
"It's fine, we were leaving anyway." Ryan stood and walked away. Amy briskly returned her book. Amy stuffed her things away haphazardly in an attempt to catch up, forgetting her tiny passenger might have been crushed by her own school supplies. Amy had to chase her friend Ryan who was upset with her to the car.
"Hey! Listen-"
"No, go off with your new tiny friend! Go on, and keep that miserable bug. Make love to it for all I care!" She quickly opened her car door and climbed in, but Amy caught it when she attempted to slam it shut.
"All I wanted to see was some mercy okay? I could get rid of him later but at least give him a chance!"
"You're insane." Amy backed away as Ryan shut her door and drove off, leaving her alone to think about what she had done.
