You suggest that she has some of the animal feed that you have stored in the barn. But for some reason she appears hurt at your sensible suggestion.
"What's wrong? There's plenty of food here suitable for ravens!"
She flinches as your voice raises unintentionally. And she takes a tentative step back, bringing her into contact with the wall behind her.
"Hey come on, I'm just trying to help. Look, you're hungry. Lets get you some bird food and you'll feel better." You step forward, holding your hand out to her in what you hoped was a consoling manner.
But she just seems more scared, pressing herself back, flat against the wall. Her belly rumbles again, and another blush spreads over her frightened cheeks.
"See, your belly agrees with me! No need to worry, there's enough food for all the animals in here, you wont be depriving anyone!" You say, reaching out and resting your hand comfortingly on her shoulder.
