Stopped in its tracks

Just as the scientists were ready to test the formula on their colleague, another call came in.

"You are ordered to cease work at once. We have decided that this formula is too dangerous."

"But--"

"That is a direct order. This is a military project and you will obey our orders."

Slightly downcast, the lead scientist, who was holding the formula, began to walk toward the containment vessel.

1. He suddenly drinks it
