One day in the lab the Professor showed his latest invention to the crew: The Growth Ray. It could allow anyone to increase their own or anyone else size. The crew didn't really think much of the invention, except for Leela who found herself quite intrigued by it.
When she was alone in the lab Leela picked up the growth ray. Feeling the desire to increase her size, Leela decided to use the invention. All she had to do was point it at herself and pulled the trigger.
Leela did just that. A ray came from the gun and hit her. Leela passed out.
