How about time travel?

A boy or a girl wake up in the far future through some odd techo-babble reason (not necessarily time travel exactly) and find they've been awoken for some grand purpose.

a) Licandor, girl aged 16 from a near future world accidentally transported further into the future by a science experiment.

b) Dannock, boy aged 17 put into cryo suspension due to terminal illness. He is awoken in a new body in the far future.

c) Other future tales.
