The Avengers - Earth's mightest heroes. When the evil god Loki attempted to trick his brother Thor in battling him he mistakenly brought together the Incredible Hulk, the Invincible Iron Man, pint-sized duo Ant Man and Wasp and Thor himself to create the Mighty Avengers - a team of warriors whose roster has changed many times but always the heroism and bravery of their kind has endured. Only in the breakdown of one of their own did the Avengers finally step down... only to see a new team of 'New Avengers' take up their mantle, have Iron Man forge the 'Mighty Avengers' from the ashes of Civil War, and perhaps most terribly Norman Osborn assemble his twisted brand of 'Dark Avengers' in the rise of his Dark Reign to power.
