You walk down the road after school, and you can still feel the pain from the beating the school bullies gave you after third period. You thought they'd never stop, but finally your friend saw them beating you up, and he called a teacher. The worried teacher saw that you were seriously bruised, and sent you to the nurse. She treated you well, and you feel better now. Some of the more seriously hurt places still hurt like hell though, and you don't feel quite well yet. You are then sent home to get well, and you leave school. On your way to the bus stop, you see a package lying around on the ground, you pick it up and examine it. It is a golden orb, about the size of a golf ball, shining brightly. You want to examine it further, so you touch it.
Then, the unimaginable happens. The orb floats over to your wrist, and projects a short metal needle into your wrist. You cringe, but then you see a little bit of blood go into the orb, which then glows brighter than usual. When it has returned to it's normal color, it floats towards your face, and remains hovering just a few inches away from the tip of your nose. Then, a small screen is visible, telling you that this device was custom made for you by an alien professor, by means of experiment. The aliens would like to see what an average teen would do with the device. Everything is allowed, the aliens aren't very scrupulous, so they won't even raise a finger, even if you would rob a bank with it.
As you wonder what the device actually does, a message appears on the screen. It tells you that it transfers the consciousness of a person from one body to another, thereby effectively suppressing the other persons mind. When you leave your own body, it goes limp,but after 6 seconds have passed it starts running on auto-pilot. It acts, thinks, speaks and moves exactly like you. It is so detailed that it could even fool your own mother!
