You try to walk closer to the mirror, but your feet tense up against your will. You look down to see them shrink a little and some of your toes disappear. Moments later you have a pair of birdlike feet with small talons. Not knowing how to balance on them, you fall over backwards.
Before you can try to get up again, you feel a sharp pain in your nose, which seems to widen and stiffen. Your nostrils seal up, only to reappear above where they were. At the same time you feel an itching in your eyes, a stretching sensation in your ears and a slight tingling all over your body.
You grab hold of the bed - it looks so big now - and carefully pull yourself up onto your new feet. Stumbling towards the mirror, you let out a surprisingly high-pitched gasp when you see your face. Your nose has taken on a beak-like appearance, your eyes are a bright red, your ears have grown long and pointed, and your skin is now a pale greyish colour. You wonder if anything else is going to happen.
