"But surely you'll want to prepare me first? Maybe have a salad to go with me? There's no way you'd just want to eat me as I am. I'm sure I must be delicious, but you can always make me taste better."
By now you can no longer contain your laughter. His attempts at prolonging the inevitable are just too transparent now.
"I don't know," you say slowly once you've finally stopped laughing. "All this talk of how tasty you'll be is just making me more hungry. I don't think I can wait much longer." Tom's smile disappears entirely. His plan has seriously backfired.
