"We should have this settled in an hour's time," your father tells Mike, before adding, "And we really hate to end this first date short." The look on your mother's face clearly showed she had no problem ending the date if it was going to be unsupervised, but she said nothing.

"We will be back shortly," your father continues, as he leads your mother out of the room. "You two have fun and Michael, I trust you'll be a gentleman with my daughter in my absence." There was a subtle warning growl in the tone of your father's voice as he said the last.

Left to yourselves, you and Mike stare awkwardly at each other in silence before Mike asks you what you would like to do. You reply that you would like to
