You're both surprised and pleased that Mike picked the version of King Kong with Jessica Lange. The film gets panned a lot, but it also has a lot of diehard fans. One thing is the Beauty and the Beast theme that the film conveys.Then there are the mechanical handheld scenes in the movie that CGI just can't match.

And speaking of being hand held, Mike will be holding you in his hand for the movie. For "viewing veracity," as Mike calls it.

You're both nervous and excited about the prospect, but are trying to project nonchalance.

You're also wondering if you should tell Mike that you have a costume just like Jessica Lange wore in the movie, when she was "sacrificed" to King Kong.
