Eventually, Janice got bored with the minuscule sub and decided to let it go. She had bigger plans on her mind (no pun intended) :)
"What if I decided to swim across the world, without a boat or anything? That would make a world record, and I would be famous for the rest of my life!" After thinking about it for a minute, Janice decided that she would do it. But first, she'd have to surface to get her bearings and announce her intentions to the world. 100 feet may have been large on land, but in the Pacific, but she was just another small fish in the ocean.
But what if she surfaced, and there was no land in sight? She had no compass to guide her, and the day was fading fast. Maybe she should stay in the water for a while longer.
