a woman suddenly leaps from behind a corner, gun in hand, aiming right for Shade.

"hey,hey!! friend!!"shade, shouts, hands above his head.

"who are you? how did you get in here?"samus questions, walking slowly towards him.

"my name is Shade, and i'm a contestant at this tourney."Shade adlibs, spoting the large banner hanging in the hallway.

samus' eyes go wide with surprise.

"oh! another contestant?"she says, suddenly very aware of the warm weapon in her grasp.

she hurridly holsters the blaster, alittle embarassed.

"sorry bout that, friend."she offeres her hand sheepishly.

"i'm samus, a long-time contestant."she adds.

"no worries"Shade replies, accepting the gesture.

"when did you arrive?"she asks.

"a few days ago"he lies."i heard of this tourney from a friend, and decided i should give it a go."

"well...that's cool, i guess...i gotta go, though."she says,heading past him down the hall."it was nice meeting you."she adds.

"you as well."Shade replies.

"see ya out there!"she says, waving as she rounded the corner, out of sight.

"yes..."Shade says in deep undertones.

"you will......"
