You've chosen to be a Naga. And a fine choice it is (or at least that's what most Naga would tell you).
Nagas are different from other races in that they are highly intelligent...and often very sophisticated...yet they have NO society of any kind.
They are self-sufficient and solitary, able to fend for themselves from the moment they hatch. And from the moment they hatch each Naga knows that they are the most perfect and highly evolved form of life in all the world. Nothing can compare to their own magnificence.
Except possibly...another Naga.
This is one of the main reasons Naga stay apart from one another. It's not that they dislike others of their kind...but at the same time, it's hard to feel like the most perfect being in the universe if there's another being around that is remarkably similar. They almost never feel hostility towards one another, rather they simply feel...uncomfortable...in each other's presence. So they each stake out their own individual territories and happily avoid one another.
As a result of staying isolated from each other, individual Nagas can exhibit VASTLY different personality types. There's really no such thing as a 'typical' Naga...though it's almost universal that they all have pretty high opinions of themselves.
