Meanwhile near a secluded forest pond, Zoe Orimoto sat gazing at the water. Here, in this light filled but silent forest, she began to think of the events that had occurred over what felt like months. First Ranamon had betrayed her own allies, stealing there spirits to enhance her own. Then J.P. was defeated in battle and reduced to data for defying Ranamon. Directly after that, the digital world had fallen into a nearly constant party, celebraign the awesome beauty of Ranamon. It made Zoe nauseous just thinking about that overgrown fish and how now Zoe, her friends, and a small resistance band are all that stood between Ranamon's complete domination. would they be able to stop her? Would they fall into the haze? Would she and her friends come to serve Ranamon- Zoe quickly shook her head, trying to distract herself from these questions.
"I know we can beat her," said Zoe to herself, slipping her purple hat off her head. "We just have to trust in ourselves and we will win."
Zoe then tried to bring her arms down to her sides, but found they wouldn't move. Suddenly, Zoe felt something grasp both of her arms and legs and stretch them apart. She even felt something swoop by her waist to steal her digivice. Looking to her arms and legs, she saw the familiar detached arms of Ranamon, holding her tightly.
"Well, well, it seems you sugar have gotten a little slower. Tell me, how have you been dear Zoe?"
"Ranamon, you hag," shouted Zoe as she tried to struggle, but to no avail. "Finally decided to get off your throne and do something for once."
"Yes, yes I have," answered Ranamon, batting Zoe's attempt at an insult away like a persistent fly. "I've decide that I need something more unique in my menu of lovers and fans, something not of this world. I want you."
"Me? Yeah right, I'll never serve you," shouted Zoe, trying to be defiant.
"Oh, sugar. I don't think you realize you have no choice in the matter."
