"Hello? Anybody home?" Erik yelled at the wooden door not really expecting an answer.
*sigh* He could hear the TV being turned down and he angrily thought 'How original people..let's just all pretend we are not home'
"Fine! Your loss" he shouted while kicking a flower pot to his left that he'd been eyeing while waiting. Panic suddenly replaced the look of satisfaction Erik was flaunting as he realized he had kicked the pot a bit harder than he expected. The flower pot tilted over crashing into a pile of rubble next to the door mat.
Erik quickly bent down and tried to recover the pieces. After two seconds he gave up and started looking around for a place to hide the mess. As he went to look away to scan the front yard something shiny caught his attention. He looked closely at the rubble on the doorstep and realized that something shiny was a key.
'Hmm' he thought 'Could this be the key to the 'empty' house before him?
