Patricia knew it was well into the evening as she continued to wander about campus, it wasn't has if she was alone though what with the various students coming in and out of their classes and some like her either out for a stroll or heading back to their dorms.
Suddenly the raven-haired girl's walk was interrupted when she heard the voice of one of her fellow students.
"Hey look up in the sky!" the female student cried out to her boyfriend, who she was linked by the arm to, as she pointed upward. His gaze along with that of Patricia's titled high into the sky and to their surprise a shooting star could be seen dashing across the dark and cloud-less sky.
"Oh make a wish, Hun!" the girl exclaimed with childish glee as she tugged at the young man's shirt sleeve.
"Alright alright already geez..."
As he bickered about Patricia remembered her roommate and good friend Shirley told her she had once seen a shooting star and made a wish to have a vast fortune fall into her lap. Of course Patricia knew Shirley was just kidding around when she made such a wish.
Her roomie had bought a lotto ticket from time to time but never really had any financial problems and really it was just a childish joke of a wish so the two of them dismissed it after a few days when Shirley as expected still hadn't received some sort of amazing amount of money.
Regardless back at the present time Patricia thought about what Shirley would say if she told her she had seen a shooting star tonight and had made a wish on it?
She figured her redheaded roommate along herself would share a laugh or two knowing full well those type of "wishes" don't come true, after all where was Shirley's money?
So with her mind set and with a silent giggle she wished on the star that she become bigger then she was now it didn't matter if through height or weight, hell maybe even both. Deciding to throw caution to the wind, she added in that she wouldn't mind if she became really big, as big as could be even!
It was just for fun right, what's the worse that could happen so why not push the limits because really nothing is going to come from it, she thought silently as she finished making her wish.
Laughing slightly to herself she turned on heel and began to make her way back to her dorm room eager to tell friend the news of what she saw and wished for.
