A storm starts out of nowhere

I felt a form of energy strike the air around me. Suddenly the wind picked up, clouds formed above me and started spreading out. As soon as the clouds reached 2 miles in diameter, everyone started to take notice. Suddenly lightning flashed and thunder cracked as the heaven's opened up releasing a downpour of rain, hail, and sleet. I called to the biker and Claudia to follow me home. My house was closer, and we didn't want to get too cold. We hurried to my house and once everybody was inside, I shut the door. It took a minute because of the heavy winds, but I got it shut. We were all drenched, so I asked if they wouldn't mind if I got them dry clothes to put on. The biker agreed immediately, but Claudia hesitated.
