I rushed towards the Back Parking Lot, quickly walking past the offices. Luckily I did not see a single faculty member outside, so I was in the clear. I had just gone past the offices when I heard a loud noise. It was the speakers all around the school. I could just hear it, the speakers shouting out, "Yarset L 23605! What are you doing outside of your designated learning sector?!" "W...Well I was just trying to find a couple of people. See if they were all right." "Nonsense! Helping others is not part of your training! EXTERMINATE!"
This, of course was only a dream, not a reality... yet. What the speakers really said were,
"Due to ... unforseen circumstances, all students who are afflicted with .... colds, are to report to the Auditorium at once for treatment. Teachers please stand by for further notice.
That is all." The haunting message echoed throughout the school. At first I wiped the sweat from my forehead, but then I realized that in moments students would come bursting out of their classrooms and scurrying to the Auditorium. I had to get to the parking lot and fast. I ran like the wind to the destination.
Strangely enough, however, as I got there, I saw the cars, but even more interesting, was the people I saw. I think I had seen them here before, but something was amiss now. Two girls were running away screaming from a man who was on the floor. It was odd, and none of my business really. But ... that was my cowardace speaking. I was in fact, going on a "rescue mission" , why not help this guy. Or at least see what was going on. I had to. But should I go ask the girls, or should I ask the man on the ground?
I was beggining to wish I had stayed inside. But I put that behind me and ...
