For the past 167 days you have been living in your aunt’s room struggling off the scraps and crumbs she eats for breakfast or for a midnight snack. At least you think it’s been 6 months? You’ve been trying to count the days by hand, but it’s been getting harder since Aunt Cassandra tore off the calendar in her room and instead uses her IPhone to check the date. The world is passing by you and your stuck living in her old black sneaker while technology becomes greater and you’re still struggling to survive and avoid being stepped on.
It's not like you wanted this to be your new life, but what’s an inch tall boy to do when there are giantesses roaming around who could squash you at any second and never even realize it. A few months ago you heard Cassandra doing dishes and Bianca playing with her dolls, so you went to venture out into the hallway to go to your Aunt Claires room. When you got to the doorway to her room, the giant foot of your Aunt Claire stepped in front of you wearing black pumps. You jumped backwards and avoided her toes and rolled out of the way just in time to avoid the sharp spike of her heel. After that you were too traumatized to even try to step out of the room and now you’re stuck here. You’re too afraid to even gain the awareness of your Aunt, because you’re scared she might step on you when she hangs her legs off the bed or she might roll on top of you if you try to get her attention while she's sleeping.
It's not an easy life but sleeping in a shoe and scrounging off bits of potato chips and cookies has kept you alive so far. Cassandra enters her room again and you go through your daily routine of watching her feet walk on the carpet, change shoes and socks and watch her butt sit down on the carpet. You wish you weren’t such a big chicken so you could go walk up to her and poke her ass so she can look behind her rump and see you. But a scared annoying voice in your head tells you. "But what if she leans back and you’re sat on? Or what if she brushes you aside and you fall in her sock unnoticed? This is a bad idea, staying under her bed and waiting for her to look underneath sounds a lot safer."
But that’s the thing. In the hundreds of days since you were first shrunk she never looked under her bed once. Sometimes she puts her slippers under the bed, but she pulls them out without even a glance towards you. The only thing you can do is keep scavenging off your unaware aunt’s good grace of not vacuuming and continue to be an unknown pest living underneath her. You crawl back into your smelly home and go to sleep where the ball of her foot would rest. You hope you don’t have anymore dreams of her bare feet entering your home. Those are the ones you hate the most.
