The Store Keeper's withered hands presented a necklace. It didn't sparkle against the light like fake, gold plated jewelry would. It instead shimmer just a little given that time dulled the metal it's crafted from. Ashley held it in her hands, the weight of the accessory proved it to be true.
"Uhh...thanks...this is going to help me in life?" Asked Ashley slipped the accessory on.
The Store Keeper smiled, withdrawing behind the counter, "Sure, why not? Now take it and be on your way."
At this point, it would be rude to show disinterest in the accessory, let alone giving it right back to the Store Keeper. Ashley gently placed the necklace around her bony shoulders and smiled, "It looks pretty...thanks."
"I'm glad you like it. Safe travels."
Ashley waved to the mysterious Store Keeper and stepped back out into the train station. Given that the current time is 8 AM, she has plenty of time to take the train into the city and back out into the county. "One ticket for the city, please."
Aboard the train, Ashley watches the countryside pass by as the train speeds down the track. The weight of the necklace had become absent, yet it's constant jostling made it presence known.
