While Amanda was fixing the food, Stacy decided to go to the front yard and watch the sun set. It was her favourite time of day, and the sunsets over the horizon were always spectacular - each day brought a new, incredible scene.
As she was lost in the beauty of the sky, she thought she heard a sound. She turned, looking for the source, but could not see anything. "Maybe it was a leaf rustling," she thought to herself.
A few seconds later, she heard it again. It was a rustle and a soft 'mew'. There were no cats in the neighbourhood, so she thought she must've imagined it. "Oh, because I was talking to Amanda about cats," she thought.
A small wind came up, The clouds changed shape. She kept gazing at the sky - and, much to her astonishment, the clouds re-arranged themselves till they looked like a cat in repose. Again, she thought she heard a soft 'mew'.
Stacy was nervous. She turned to go indoors, to find Amanda standing at the door, holding a tray with two plates on it. The plates were full of food and a delicious aroma filled the air.
"It's so beautiful, I thought we'd have a picnic dinner outside," Amanda said, smiling at Stacy.
