"I'm getting old? But, I'm too young to get old!!!"
"Relax," Amanda laughed, "it's only for the week. Just look at it as a vacation from the stresses of youth."
"But, I had plans for spring break. I was going to do things with my friends, which reminds me...I seem to recall they were due to be here anytime."
The 53 year old began to fan herself at that point, and complained,"Can you do something about the heat dear? I feel like I'm just burning up. Look at me, I look like
my Aunt Carol now, my body looks so matronly, and, oh make it stop please."
"It will finish up shortly sweetheart, and the mature look suits you, just like the purple jogging suit with gold sequins and the gold sequin tennis shoes, and the elegant silver cat's eye bifocals with that beaded chain," she told the now 66 year old.
"It's just that," she rattled, "my friends dear, they are expecting someone a few years younger," the 76 year old replied, as she checked out the turkey waddle neck and her sagging breasts, as her hair continued to go more and more white and turn into shoulder length, tight curls.
"You and they will be just fine, just older."
"You mean...my friends will..."
"Become the same age as you are now," she told the now 87 year old Stacy, who leaned on a cane and slowly made her way to the couch.
"Well, I always did wonder what they would be like when they got older," she muttered, as the doorbell rang.
