"Amanda, the weirdest thing just happened," Stacy said, feeling slightly nervous. As much as she hated the idea of having a babysitter, Amanda hadn't been as bad as Stacy was expecting. She didn't want the older girl to think she was crazy.
Still, Stacy continued. "I've been seeing and hearing cats everywhere. I think I'm going crazy!"
Amanda's eyes widened. Although the corner of her lips ticked up into a smile, she bit her lip so quickly that Stacy didn't notice.
Gently, Amanda reached up to touch Stacy's forehead. "Well, I don't feel a fever, but you're obviously sick. Why don't you go lie down and try to slep, sweetie, I'll bring you dinner later."
