You're a Mermaid!

Filled with panic, you flop around on the coble stone path. You have a better look. Your legs are completely gone. A tail emerges from the end of your dress instead. You feel different all over, but that's all you can see right now.

The power of that tail is amazing. You try to move your feet, and the tail reacts. The flopping is powerful enough to lift you into the air, so you can come smashing back down to the ground. You need water.

As if by your command, the water from the fountain overflows, and covers you, seeping into your gills, and coating your scales. Sliding on the water, you're carried in through the open doors of the mansion, and fall into a hole filled with water.

You use your tail as if you were walking, and it brings you to the surface just as easily. You grab the edge of the hole dug into the castle's main hall, and stare at the creature, who's holding onto his shovel as he rests. "I ate the fruit labeled "Strength." he says. "I gained unbelievable strength, but became a monster. You are a fruit to control water, and became a creature of the sea. No... Not a creature. A Mermaid." He stares at you for a moment, and looks away. "I didn't want this to happen. I never thought you would go and eat one of those fruits. I won't control you any longer. I only wish to continue my research for a cure." That must have been why he needed money, you think.
