Jessica took a step back from the dragon's nuzzling and asked, "Wait a minute, how do you know my name?"
"Well, you told me your name, Jessica," the dragon answered.
"I did no such thing," Jessica replied, "Now, tell me how you know my name!"
The dragon's scale color started to fade and turn from a dark black to a gray, as if he was turning pale. Jessica didn't know dragon's could do that, but that was what was happening at that moment, unless she was just imagining it. Jessica startedto back away from the dragon. "Please, don't leave me. You promised that you wouldn't leave me," the dragon pleaded.
"That was before I found out that you know my name somehow," Jessica replied, "Now, tell me how you know my name or I will run away."
"Alright," the dragon sighed, "I've kind of been watching you."
"You've been stalking me?" Jessica asked in a horrified expression.
"Not at first," the dragon explained, "At first I was just watching the whole village. I was just so lonely, that I would watch the village everyday. I just wanted to be a part of it, and not alone up here being thought of as a monster. I Always hoped that someone would finally see through my scally skin and see me for who I really am. Then, I noticed you. You were just always kind to everyone and I thought that if we met, you would be the one who would see through me. I thought that you would be the one that could be my friend."
