Alice wanted to ignore the phone, but she realized it might look suspicious if nobody answered. Trying to quickly forget how lovely and peaceful her nap was, she scooted her massive belly over to the side of the couch, her arms and legs struggling with the size and weight, until she could knock the phone off it's cradle.
"H-hello?" she panted into the receiver.
"Um... hi, is Cheryl there?"
Alice wanted to slam the phone down. She took several deep breaths instead.
"Are you alright, Miss?"
"I'm fine, I just ran downstairs," she cursed herself for making up such a stupid lie. "Can I take a message for her?"
"Sure, just tell her that this week's meeting of the Belly Busters has been moved to tonight. I lost a few numbers, so could you make sure she lets everyone know?"
"... Oh yes, I'll make sure... "
Alice hung up the phone in a trance. A weight loss group? The chubby girl she just ate tasted so good, too... Her mind began to race with dangerous, exciting possibilities.
She was snapped out of it by a knock at the door. "Pizza!" a voice called.
"Dammit, I never get any time to collect my thoughts," she sighed. "Well, let's see if I can work this to my advantage... "
