"3D? Do they also have in-person effects?" Matilda said, gazing up at a tunnel with an odd, colored light at the end.
"No, this is the same movie theater we always... go to... " Marissa also gazed up. Something about that tiny speck of light...
She blinked, she had hardly realized she was suddenly teleported out of her seat! She felt like she was floating weightlessly! Looking around, she couldn't see a thing!
"Ooof! Watch it, I'm not a cushion you know," coughed a gruff, female voice.
"Sorry... didn't see where I was falling," apologized Marissa, her surroundings becoming clear as Matilda helped her up off a very large lady's midsection. The room they were in looked disturbingly blank. She had toured a prison once, and though made of stone and steel, it at least had personality. This room didn't even have corners, just a strange opening in the ceiling, with the walls curving around into an oblong shape. Another slim person bounced off the fat lady.
"I guess I'm the crash padding around here," she shook her head. "Lucky for you I'm feeling kind of lazy right now."
"How could you feel lazy?" Marissa laughed, almost panicking. "We have no idea where we are!"
"It's probably just some gimmick or misunderstanding," Matilda assured her. "I mean, it's not like... movies are just pretend, right?"
Suddenly, an opening in the floor appeared, taking all the people in the room like a drain. Everyone who was in the theater found themselves tumbling down... and appearing once more in seats. Only this time, the darkness of a theater was replaced with the brightness of an auditorium!
"A stage? Really?" thought Marissa.
"Do not be alarmed," sounded a soothing voice echoing off the gray walls. "Allow me to explain... " and out on the stage walked...
